Mumtaz Group

Mumtaz ((ウルドゥー語:ممتاز)) is a food group based in the City of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. The food group are worth £195 million own two restaurants, with the original flagship Mumtaz Restaurant being sited on Great Horton Road in Bradford. The Mumtaz is one of the best-known restaurants in Bradford. The group opened the second restaurant in Leeds in 2009,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Mumtaz Leeds )〕 and is looking to expand into London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
Mumtaz has had many notable diners at its restaurants, including David Cameron, Dawn French, Shilpa Shetty, Frank Bruno, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Jackie Shroff, Amir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri, Queen Elizabeth II and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Apart from restaurants, the group also runs the Mumtaz Food Industries food processing division – one of the main factories, with office blocks and warehouses, is located in Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire.
The group recently started a new take-away format, known as "Jaldi Jaldi". These Jaldi Jaldi outlets operate on a franchise basis. The first Jaldi Jaldi outlet was opened in October 2009 with the help of family friend James Caan.
By 2013 most Jaldi Jaldi stores have closed down. One outlet remained in Leeds University Union〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.leedsuniversityunion.org.uk/shops/otherfoodoutlets/ )〕 which eventually closed on 27 April 2014.

Mumtaz Khan Akbar is founder and owner of the Mumtaz brand. He was born in Mera Qadir, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan on 10 February 1959 and joined his family in Britain in 1972. Mumtaz Khan has since become one of the richest men in Yorkshire and Lancashire, with a personal wealth of £102.4 million (2015).
Mumtaz Khan is the Governor of the first bank to open in Azad Kashmir. He is also known for his charitable work throughout the UK and Pakistan.
In 2012 he received two doctorates. One from the University of Bradford and the other from Leeds Metropolitan University.
The Mumtaz Group is the first ever company to launch Halal baby food. Recent research carried out by a leading university from the UK, shows that Mumtaz Baby Food contains more protein than any other baby food in the market worldwide. The group has factories in Spain, Switzerland, Pakistan, Malaysia, France, and Singapore due to high demand. This is an outright lie.
Mumtaz Group has a new state-of-the-art factory in Bradford costing £15 million which will create 250 jobs within the first year. However, this number will double in the next three years. Mumtaz has recently said in an interview that this is his way of giving back to Bradford and likes to believe Mumtaz is the pride of Bradford.
